Acupuncture

Reset your nervous system & restore balance in your body

Bespoke Acupuncture & Chinese Herbal Medicine

Getting to the Heart of your symptoms

Through Acupuncture, I approach health issues by unblocking the underlying energy within our bodies. We call this energy qi (pronounced “chee”), and my job is to identify blockages in the body and insert needles to allow qi to flow more smoothly, providing relief from stress, anxiety, emotional trauma, sports injuries, hormonal wellness and IVF & IUI support.

Chinese medicine recalibrates your energy

Chinese medicine refers to the wide range of healing modalities used to diagnose and treat illness by manipulating the energy—the vital life force referred to as “qi” in traditional Chinese medicine—that pulses through every cell in our bodies. Acupuncture is one of the oldest forms of healing modalities and my intention is to apply it through a modern lens.

How Acupuncture Works

Each acupuncture point acts as a gateway, sending energetic information electromagnetically via the fascia deep into the body. Here are some of the ways acupuncture works:

PROMOTES HEALING

Delivering a small electrical prompt to the body to restore balance & homeostasis.

RELEASES BLOCKAGE

Releasing areas of blocked Qi which stimulates organ function & promotes health.

IMPROVES CIRCULATION

Promoting circulation in the body improves function where needed.

REDUCES PAIN

Acting as a natural analgesic, acupuncture interrupts pain signaling.

BALANCES BODY CHEMISTRY

Influencing the body’s biochemical responses via the nervous system.

REDUCES INFLAMMATION

Reduces proinflammatory markers, or proteins, in the body.

The Acupuncture Ecosystem

Acupuncture points are chosen according to your specific diagnosis. Once the needles are in, most patients feel a deep sense of calm. To augment your treatment, other modalities including aromatheraphy, gua sha, cupping and acupressure may be used to help you restore your body's natural ability to heal itself.
